Who we are

Origami Zone is an online gift shop in Kuwait dedicated to origami. Our work is handmade using paper only, with no cutting and no glue of any kind. Our aim is to offer our customers a unique experience built on trust and respect for their taste, and on all the operating laws in force in the State of Kuwait.

How ordering works

Adding items to the cart on this website does not place an order. When you send your cart to us on WhatsApp, it is a request.

We reply on WhatsApp or by email with the price, the delivery details and how to pay. Your order is confirmed only when you agree to these and we confirm it in writing on WhatsApp or by email.

When your order is confirmed, we send you an invoice in Arabic showing the price, any fees, the total, the delivery details and the payment method.

We may decline an order, for example if we cannot make it in the time you need.

Prices

Prices are quoted to you on WhatsApp or by email before you order. The quote states whether delivery is included.

Payment

We accept bank transfer, payment links and the Wamd service.

For custom orders, orders personalised with a name or a design requested by the customer, and large quantities, we ask for 50% of the amount after you approve the samples and the price quote, before we start folding.

Handmade pieces

Every piece is folded by hand, so small differences between pieces are part of the craft and are not defects.

Paper colours can look slightly different on screen than in real life.

Most pieces are made to order. The time needed is agreed with you on WhatsApp or by email.

Changes and cancellations

You can change or cancel an order free of charge before we start making it.

Once we have started making a custom or personalised piece, the advance payment is not refunded if the customer cancels, because it has already been spent on materials and on paying the people making your order.

Ready-made pieces and kits can also be returned within 14 days of receiving them, as explained on the Delivery and returns page.

Workshops

Workshop bookings are made on WhatsApp or by email. A booking is confirmed by paying 50% of the price in advance.

If the customer cancels, the 50% paid in advance is not refunded. If we cancel a workshop because of circumstances beyond our control, the full amount is refunded.

Digital products

Diagrams and other digital products are for your personal use. They may not be shared, resold or published.

Because a file cannot be returned once it has been sent, no payment for any digital product is refunded.

Accounts, the gallery and challenges

A free account is for people aged 13 or older. Younger children can take part through a parent's or guardian's account.

Share only photos you took yourself, of models you folded. Do not include other people without their permission, or anything offensive or unlawful.

Your photos stay yours. By sharing one, you allow Origami Zone to show it in the gallery and on this website with your display name, for as long as it stays shared. You can delete it at any time.

We review every photo before it appears, and we may decline or remove any photo or close an account that breaks these rules.

Challenges are for fun and learning. Unless a prize is announced on the challenge page, there is no prize.

Our designs and content

The photos, text, diagrams and animations on this website belong to Origami Zone unless stated otherwise, and may not be copied without our permission.

Some models are traditional, and some are by other designers who are credited on the page.

Liability

Paper pieces are delicate. Keep them away from humidity, water and direct sunlight. All our products are breakable.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the laws of the State of Kuwait.

Complaints

If something is not right, message us on WhatsApp at +965 5079 3888 or email hello@theorigamizone.com so we can resolve it with you.

You also have the right to contact the consumer protection department of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Kuwait.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version on this page on the day you order is the one that applies.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait.
